POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University senior outside hitter Annie Benson has been named this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Hitter of the Week, announced today.
Benson recorded 42 kills, 35 digs, four service aces and three blocks in the Bruins' five wins last week.
At Kansas Wesleyan University she registered her fifth double-double of the season with 14 kills and 11 digs.
This marks the second time in her career she has been named the conference's hitter of the week.
The Bruins (18-3) are ranked No. 15 in the NAIA and have won their last 11 matches and will travel to Denver, Colo. on Saturday, Sept. 28 with matches scheduled against York College and Johnson & Wales University.
