Sophomore Beth Walker has been named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Setter of the Week for her performances in the Bruins' four matches last week at the Hastings College Classic.
Walker averaged 11.31 assists per game as the Bruins went 2-2 in the Hastings Classic. She recorded a career-high four services in BU's four-game loss to No. 23-ranked Northwestern College.
Walker tallied double-doubles in Bellevue's wins over Hastings and Dakota State. She finished with 50 assists and 17 digs in the win over Hastings and 38 assists and 10 digs in the sweep over DSU.
Walker notched seven service aces and five blocks on the week while hitting for a .343 hitting percentage.
The Bruins (8-3) will open conference play with a 7 p.m. match at Waldorf on Thurday, Sept. 12 in Forest City, Iowa.
