Broady, DeBoer earn MCAC Setter and Hitter of the Week honors

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Junior middle blocker Sydney DeBoer and senior setter Jordan Broady were named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Hitter and Setter of the Week announced by the league office today.

Broady, who has been named the Setter of the Week for the fourth-straight time and fifth time overall this year, notched 234 assists, 57 digs, 32 kills, 11 blocks and three service aces during the week.

Aganist NCAA Division II South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (Oct. 6), Broady collected her fourth triple-double of the season, finishing with 12 kills, 45 assists and 13 digs. The three-time all-MCAC selection ranks second all-time with 5,425 career assists, 721 away from Candace Clow (6,146).

DeBoer pounded a career-high 16 kills while adding two service aces and three digs in the Bruins' 3-2 setback versus SDSMT. For the week, she tallied 59 kills, four service aces and 18 total blocks in BU's five matches.

DeBoer, who also earned this honor on Sept. 3 and Sept. 17, leads the Bruins with 95 blocks and ranks third on the team with 258 kills this season. 

Bellevue (21-8, 5-0 MCAC) will host the six-team Bruin/Premier Classic Friday-Saturday, Oct. 12-13, in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
