MCAC Standings

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Junior outside hitter Annie Benson led three Bruins in double figures with 16 kills as the Bellevue University volleyball team defeated College of St. Mary, 3-1 (25-16, 26-24, 22-25, 25-13) Tuesday night in MCAC action at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. 

Benson recorded her fifth double-double of the season, adding 13 digs as well as two blocks. Junior middle blocker Sydney DeBoer tallied 14 kills on .387 hitting, while adding a match-high six blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Sunny Bell came off the bench to record 11 kills. 

Senior setter Jordan Broady notched her team-leading eighth double-double of the season with 46 assists and 10 digs. She also added seven kills and four blocks while directing the BU offense to a .228 hitting percentage. 

Junior libero Meghan Evans collected 18 digs to pace the Bruin defense. 

Joy Lieck and Kaylee Wallace each registered 11 kills to lead the Falmes' offense. 

The Bruins (19-6, 5-0 MCAC) will travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., this Friday-Saturday, Oct. 5-6, where they will participate in the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Tournament. CSM fell to 7-15 overall and 3-2 in league play.
