BELLEVUE, Neb. -- The Bellevue University volleyball team remained unbeaten in conference play, sweeping a pair of matches from Haskell Indian Nations University Saturday afternoon at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. Bellevue won the first match 3-0 (25-8, 25-19, 25-13) and also took the second match 3-0 (25-7, 25-12, 25-18).

The Bruins, ranked No. 21 in the nation, improved to 10-3 overall and 4-0 in MCAC play. Haskell fell to 1-12 and 0-3. Bellevue has now won six-straight matches, all three-game sweeps.

Match 1 Summary
Freshman Annie Benson led the Bruins in the opener, collecting nine kills, five blocks and four digs. Juniors Kali Schnacker and Ashley Wurdeman each had six kills apiece.

Sophomore setter Jordan Broady dished out 26 assists, while adding five digs and a pair of service aces. Senior Katy Gregory anchored the BU defense with a match-high nine digs as Bellevue held the Indians to a -.085 hitting percentage while gaining a 45-32 advantage in digs and an 8-0 margin in team blocks.

All 15 Bruins saw action in the match

Match 2 Summary
Schnacker pounded 12 kills and added three digs to lead the Bruins in the nightcap. Wurdeman added eight kills on .412 hitting with four digs.

Broady collected 27 assists, three kills and a service ace while helping the Bruins to a .315 hitting percentage in the match.

Bellevue had three players with double-figure dig totals, including Meghan Evans (14), Kirstine Linebaugh (13), and Gregory (11). The Bruins held a decisive 49-29 advantage in digs while limiting the Indians to a -.042 hitting clip.

Bellevue will host conference foe Peru State on Tuesday, Sept. 14, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center.
