KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday and two Bruins were featured in the list, Hannah Perkins and Alisiara Hobbs.
Concordia (Neb.) had the highest number of honorees with 37 and was followed by Dordt (Iowa) with 32 honorees of its own.
Perkins is a junior with a double major in Psychology and Health & Human Performance. Hobbs is a senior majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.
The 2023 list features 1076 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
