BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University head women's soccer coach Tom White has announced the signing of Lizbeth Barrera (Aurora, Colo.) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue beginning next fall.

The daughter of Maria Graciano and Hector Barrera, Lizbeth attends Western Nebraska Community College where she started every game last season in a defensive role and gained all-conference honorable mention.

Before her collegiate career Barrera attended Vista Peak Prep High school under the guidance of Paul Stewart.

Coach White on Barrera:

"We are very excited that Lizbeth will be joining us this fall. She has a lot of experience under her belt and we are excited to bring in a player from WNCC. She will add a lot of competition within our backline and excited how she will lead moving forward."

Barrera joins the previously announced Jordan Zielinski (Omaha, Neb./Elkhorn North HS), Olivia Wahl (Papillion, Neb./Papillion-La Vista HS), and Izzy Ashby (Omaha, Neb./Papillion-La Vista HS) in the Bruins' 2025 recruiting class.

This past season, Bellevue posted an overall record of 9-5-3, claimed the No. 2 seed in the Continental Athletic Conference Tournament, and reached the CAC title game for the fourth-straight season.
