Jauregui recognized as H.M. All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University sophomore midfielder Ximena Jauregui (Cancun, Mexico) was recognized today as an honorable mention All-American by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-America Committee.

The NAIA All-America Committee is comprised of the NAIA-Women's Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven women's soccer coaches.

Jauregui, the Continental Athletic Conference Player of the Year, led Bellevue with eight goals, 11 assists, and 27 points while starting all 19 games. This year she earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week and Offensive Player of the Week twice apiece.

She becomes the eighth different and 12th Bruin overall to be recognized by the All-American committee and is the 11th honorable mention selection. Jauregui is the first Bruin to earn All-America recognition since 2011.

Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
