LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University senior Jenn Amaro (Mexico City, Mexico) and sophomore Ella Pelletier (Papillion, Neb.) have been named the Continental Athletic Conference's Women's Soccer Players of the Week.
Amaro, CAC Defensive Player of the Week, recorded a pair of saves in goal for Bellevue to produce her ninth shutout of the season while recording her 12th victory in net, most for a Bruin keeper since 2012. She now sports a 0.63 goals against average and an .872 save percentage.
Pelletier, CAC Offensive Player of the Week, netted the eventual game-winner in BU's 3-0 win over Waldorf last week. The goal marked her sixth of the season and accounted for her team-leading fourth game-winner. Her six goals overall are good for third on the team.
Bellevue meets rival Viterbo University in the CAC semifinals on Friday, Nov. 11 where the Bruins are the No. 1 seed in the tournament. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
