LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- For the second-straight week, Bellevue University sophomore Ximena Jauregui (Cancun, Mexico) has been recognized by the Continental Athletic Conference.
After taking home CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors last week, Jauregui was feted as this week's CAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Jauregui, asked to play a more offensive-minded role in a tough affair with Morningside, responded by scoring the first goal of the game and later assisting Britney Nolte's game-winner as the Bruins knocked off the Mustangs for the first time in three seasons.
Through four games, Jauregui leads BU in both assists (4) and points (8) and ranks second on the squad with two goals.
Bellevue (3-1-0) travels to Orange City, Iowa tomorrow evening for a non-conference tilt against Northwestern College. Kick-off is slated for 6:30 p.m. from Korver Field – which is a change from the original schedule.
