After a scoreless first half, both teams found the back of the net in the opening moments of the second period.

Alba Petit bagged her first collegiate goal off a pass from Courtney Wallingford just 22 seconds in the second half to give the visiting Bruins a 1-0 lead.

Julie Raffel notched the equalizer just two and a half minutes later, scoring unassisted.

The game remained deadlocked until the final minutes when Nathalie Larsson took a pass from Ebba Torgner and beat the Bruin keeper to give the Mustangs a 2-1 lead with just 4:23 to play.

Jaedyn Tryon registered the only other shot on goal for Bellevue.

Sabrina Staufenbiel made five saves in the loss while Sarah Finn made one stop to secure the victory for Morningside.

Coach Tom White:

"It's a tough loss tonight as we put in another good shift against a very good side in Morningside. Alba Petit showed bits of magic and took her goal well. The games are coming thick and fast now so we have to brush ourselves off and go again for Saturday."
