PAPILLION, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team out-shot visiting Tabor College 26-4 en route to a 3-0 win on Saturday afternoon at Papillion Landing.

Records:

Bellevue: 3-2-0
Tabor: 1-2-0

Bellevue 3, Tabor 0

Courtney Wallingford, Taylan Murphey, and Britney Nolte each found the back of the net to lead the rout.

Bellevue dominated from the start, out-shooting Tabor 15-0 in the first half but had just a one-goal lead at the break.

Wallingford put the Bruins on the board in the 39th minute after Sinai Bernal played her in behind the defense. Wallingford took the pass and beat the keeper to the far post for the opener.

The score remained 1-0 until the 70th minute. Wallingford's initial attempt was blocked to the feet of Emah Maahs who slipped a pass to Murphey for the tap-in goal.

Nolte put the exclamation point on the game ripping a shot between the keeper and near post.

Kami Quinn made seven saves for the Bluejays while Sabrina Staufenbiel stopped both shots on target that she faced for her second shutout of the season.

Coach Tom White:

"It's a good win as Tabor are always a difficult opponent to play against. The first goal was very good showing great movement from Alba Petit and Sinai Bernal to create Courtney Wallingford's goal. Maddy Vasquez put in another class performance and Jaycee Billings showed promise coming off the bench."
