The game proceeded to halftime with Bellevue in front 2-1 and a slight 4-3 edge in shots.
Just under nine minutes into the second half, Northwestern again pulled even as they were gifted an own goal off a corner kick.
Following a hand ball in the box, the referee pointed to the spot awarding the Bruins a penalty kick. Bielski stepped up and calmly slotted home the go-ahead goal and BU saw out the victory from there.

Coach Tom White:
"It's a good start to the season and something we can build on. It was scrappy at times but we deserved the victory today. Courtney Wallingford led well, Morgan McIlnay put in a typical performance that she showed from last season, and Riley Stock did well starting her first collegiate game."
