PAPILLION, Neb. -- Bruna Cola Bielski scored in the 31st minute and the Bellevue University women's soccer team posted their 10th shutout of the season as the Bruins defeated Kansas Wesleyan University 1-0 on Saturday evening at Papillion Landing.

Bellevue, receiving votes in the most recent coaches' poll, improves to 10-2-0 with their sixth-straight victory while Kansas Wesleyan sees their record drop to 7-3-0.

The Bruins controlled tempo in the opening half and were rewarded for their efforts with a 5-4 advantage in shots and the game's lone goal.

Bruna Cola Bielski used her body to shield a defender and gain possession of a bouncing ball played in behind the KWU defense by Courtney Wallingford. After settling, she dribbled into the box and beat the keep far side on the ground.

KWU seemed to make adjustments at the interval as they out-shot the Bruins 10-1 in the second half and held the majority of the possession going forward.

Despite that, along with a 4-1 corner kick advantage in the period, the Coyotes were unable to get much in the way of scoring opportunities.

Their best chance came in the 67th minute when Alison Magni's header was saved by Sabrina Staufenbiel off a corner kick.

The Coyotes had another opportunity late but Jacky Montepeque's shot was again turned away by Staufenbiel who tallied seven saves in the match to earn her eighth clean sheet.

Daisy Bingham made one save in the loss for KWU.
