HASTINGS, Neb. -- Emily Weyant scored the game's only goal with just 4:12 to play to give #20 Hastings College a narrow 1-0 victory over the Bellevue University women's soccer team on Wednesday evening at Lloyd Wilson Field in a non-conference matchup.

The result snapped Bellevue's four-game win streak and dropped the Bruins to 5-3-0 on the season.  Hastings remains unbeaten in their last four outings and improves to 6-1-1 overall on the year.

With no score into the 86th minute the game seemed destined for overtime until Weyant found the back of the net off a pass from Heidi Bartsch to put Hastings up 1-0.

Bellevue out-shot Hastings in the opening period by a narrow 3-2 margin but Hastings held an 8-5 edge in the second half for a 10-8 advantage in the game. The Broncos also edged the Bruins in corner kicks, 5-4.

BU's Laurence Rodier and Hastings' Lexi Harris each made three saves in the game.

Jennifer Romero, Laura Cook, and Kristin Hanson accounted for BU's three shots on goal in the game.

Bellevue will return to play this weekend with a pair of games in Denver, Colo. against Tabor (Saturday, 4 p.m.) and Johnson & Wales (Monday, 3:30 p.m.).
