JAMESTOWN, N.D. -- The 2015 North Star Athletic Association Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and postseason awards were announced after the conclusion of the championship match at UJ Soccer Field Sunday afternoon. Highlighting the awards program for Bellevue University were NSAA Defensive Player of the Year Kate Petersen and NSAA Newcomer of the Year Victoria Perez.
The Bruins played to a 12-4-0 overall mark, going 3-1-0 in North Star contests and reaching the North Star Championship Game in their first season in the conference.
The Bruins saw five players selected to the all-conference first team, including all four seniors on this year's roster. Betsy Fischenich and Michelle Dolder were selected as forwards while Aubriana Batchelor was chosen as a midfielder, and the aforementioned Kate Petersen earned distinction as a defender. Also working her way on to the first team was junior Victoria Perez who was picked as a defender.
Bellevue had a pair of second team all-conference selections as well. Juniors Jordyn Seidel and Karina Alvarez earned recognition as a forward and midfielder, respectively.
