LINDSBORG, Kan. -- Senior Michelle Dolder scored a pair of goals to lead the No. 16 Bellevue University women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Bethany College on Sunday afternoon.

The Bruins opened the scoring with Dolder's seventh minute strike, her third of the season. The goal was assisted by senior Betsy Fischenich and junior Karina Alvarez. Dolder tallied her second goal of the match in the 33rd minute to double the BU advantage headed into the halftime intermission.

The Bruins put the game away in the 53rd minute when Alvarez netted her first goal in a Bruin uniform off of a pass from Fischenich.

Sophomore Laurence Rodier, making her third start in net for the Bruins, notched her second clean sheet of the year by turning away all three Bethany shots that made their way on net. Fischenich had a hand in all three Bellevue goals, finishing the match with three assists to give her nine points on the season.

The Bruins out-shot the Swedes 12-5 (6-3 on goal) and gained a 7-3 edge in corner kicks for the match.

Bellevue (4-2-0) returns to the pitch on Thursday, Sept. 17 when they host (RV) Midland University at 5 p.m. in their home-opener at Bellevue Soccer Club.
