SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team received goals from each of their four seniors as they twice had to rally from deficits before claiming a 4-3 win at Dordt College as part of the Pizza Ranch Classic.

Trailing 2-0 after a pair of Dordt goals by Kenzie Bousema, Michelle Dolder and Kate Petersen scored consecutive goals in the 29th and 44th minute, respectively, to pull Bellevue level at the half. Dolder scored unassisted and Petersen buried a penalty.

Bousema completed her hat trick with a 56th minute goal to put Dordt up 3-2. However, just eight seconds later – still in the 56th minute – Betsy Fischenich netted the equalizer with a chip over the goalkeeper. The Bruins finally pulled ahead in the 81st minute when Aubriana Batchelor headed in a corner kick by Kylie Taylor to give BU a 4-3 lead.

Bellevue out-shot Dordt 24-11 (19-6 shots on goal) and gained a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks but Dordt, for the most part, took full advantage of their limited opportunities.

Making her second start of the season, sophomore Bailey Petzoldt made three second half saves for Bellevue to pick up her first win of the year.

Bellevue (1-1-1) is back on the pitch tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. for a matchup with Northwestern College to close out the Pizza Ranch Classic.
