FOREST CITY, Iowa -- Despite recording three more shots, the Bellevue University women's soccer team fell at Waldorf College, 1-0, in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Bolstorff Field.
Waldorf moved to 9-8-1 and 4-2-0 in the MCAC while Bellevue fell to 7-7-3 overall and 3-2-0 in league action.
Mia Crail-Yusif scored the only goal of the contest at the 27:54 mark of the first half on a pass from Madisen Haines.
Kaylee Vitale notched nine saves in goal for the Warriors while Sammy Sinecio (4-2-0) took the loss for the Bruins and recorded two saves.
BU outshot the Warriors 10-7. Nine of the Bruins' 10 shots were on goal.
Mercy Darkoah and Betsy Fischenich both recorded three shots.
The BU women's soccer team will conclude the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 6 when they play at in-state foe College of Saint Mary (12-3-1, 3-1-0 MCAC). Kick-off is slated for 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Park.
