POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University women's soccer goalkeeper Sammy Sinecio has been named this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
In Bellevue's 4-1 win at the University of Jamestown on Oct. 26, she recorded a career-high nine saves.
For the season, Sinecio has a 4-1-0 record with 18 saves and a 0.80 goals against average.
The BU women's soccer team will travel to Forest City, Iowa on Saturday, Nov. 2 for a conference match at Waldorf College. Kick-off is scheduled for noon at Bolstorff Field.
