OMAHA, Neb. -- Mercy Darkoah scored two goals to lead the Bellevue University women's soccer team to a 3-0 win against Central Baptist College Saturday afternoon at Tranquility Park in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action.

With the win, Bellevue improved to 4-5-3 and 1-0-0 in the MCAC while Central Baptist fell to 3-7-0 and 0-1-0 in conference play.

The Bruins scored first on Aubriana Batchelor's goal in the 44th minute. Batchelor found the back of the net off of a deflection on Kate Petersen's shot that hit the post.

BU added to its lead 1:47 into the second half on Darkoah's shot that beat CBC goalkeeper Becca Clements.

Darkoah scored her second goal of the contest at 73:42 off a pass from Emily Hester. Darkoah leads the team with seven goals this season.

Caitlin Stier earned the win in goal for the Bruins with one save. Clements recorded six saves for Mustangs.

BU held a 22-3 edge in shots, including a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Bruins will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 when travel to Bartlesville, Okla. for a 1:00 p.m. conference match at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.
