Darkoah leads Bruins to 2-1 win at Concordia

SEWARD, Neb. -- Mercy Darkoah scored two goals to lead the Bellevue University women's soccer team to a 2-1 win at Concordia (Neb.) University Wednesday night at Bulldog Stadium.

With the win, Bellevue improved to 2-3-3 while Concordia fell to 3-3-0.

The Bruins struck first, scoring 1:10 into the match on Darkoah's first goal of the contest.

The Bulldogs tied the game at 1-1 on Melissa Stine's goal at 65:58.

Darkoah netted the game-winner in the 88th minute to propel the Bruins to the 2-1 win.

Sammy Sinecio earned her first win of the season for BU registering three saves. Chrissy Lind took the loss for the Bulldogs.

Darkoah leads the Bruins with five goals this season.

BU outshot the Bulldogs, 12-8.

The Bruins will travel to Kansas City, Kan. on Sunday, Sept. 22 for a 1:00 p.m. match at Avila University.
