Trio receives all-Nebraska women's soccer honors

Senior midfielder Paige Wischmann, junior defender Rebecca Fairfax, and junior goalkeeper Caitlin Stier were all named to the Omaha World-Herald's all-Nebraska women's soccer team in an announcement made today. 

In addition, Jenica Bloom, Yaritza Estrada, Betsy Fischenich, and Kate Petersen all earned honorable mention accolades. 

Wischmann recorded six goals and an assist while earning first team all-MCAC honors for the second-consecutive season. Fairfax was named the MCAC Defensive Player of the Year while anchoring a BU defense that collected seven shutouts on the year. Stier registered a 12-4-1 record in goal on the year with five shutouts. 

The Bruins finished the season with a 13-4-1 overall record and a 6-0-1 mark in the MCAC and captured the 2012 MCAC regular season and tournament titles, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the third-straight season.
