OLATHE, Kan. -- The 20th-ranked Bellevue University women's soccer team (2-1) won its second-straight match, defeating Friends University (0-1), 4-0, Friday afternoon at the MidAmerica Nazarene Tournament.
Bellevue out-shot Friends, 26-5, and also tallied eight more shots on goal.
The Bruins struck first on a shot from the top of the box 16 minutes into the first half scored by Michaela Gelecki off a pass by Aubriana Batchelor.
BU added a second first half goal at 29:09 on a shot from 16 yards out by Jessica Damery to take a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Damery scored her second goal of the contest at the 60:42 mark off a pass from Kenia Hernandez.
Rebecca Fairfax ended the game's scoring with an unassisted goal five minutes later to give the Bruins the four-goal win.
Sammy Sinecio recorded the shut out win notching three saves.
The Bruins will play host school MidAmerica Nazarene University tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
