
NORTH NEWTON, Kan. -- Three different Bruins scored as the Bellevue University women's soccer team won their third-straight match with a 3-1 victory at Bethel (Kan.) Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Bellevue improved to 7-2 on the season. Bethel fell to 1-5-1.
Senior Jenna Pendley scored a goal for the third-straight match while adding an assist to lead the Bruin attack. Senior Anne Marie Lind and freshman Paige Wischmann also added goals.
Pendley scored off a pass from from Lynnsey Danker just four minutes into the contest to give the Bruins an early 1-0 advantage.
Wischmann scored unassisted just before halftime to give BU a 2-0 lead at the break.
The Threshers closed the margin to 2-1 on a Megan Schrock goal at 60:20.
Lind completed the game's scoring when she found the back of the net on a corner kick pass from Pendley in the game's 70th minute.
The Bruins will host Midland Lutheran at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 in a non-conference game at Tranquility Park.
