Pendley's late goal lifts Bruins to 1-0 win at Friends

WICHITA, Kan. - Senior forward Jenna Pendley scored an unassisted goal off a corner kick with just 35 seconds remaining in the game to lead the Bellevue University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Friends University (Kan.)

With the win Bellevue improves to 6-2, while Friends falls to 3-4 on the season.

The Bruins controlled the action for the majority of the game and managed to outshoot the Falcons 8-4.

Freshman Sarah Boone improved to 5-2 on the season, recording her third shutout while collecting three saves in the win.

Bellevue will return to action Saturday, Sept. 26 when it takes on Bethel College (Kan.) at noon in North Newton, Kan.
