Shelly Liddick was named the women’s golf coach at Bellevue University in August of 2010 and has been named conference Coach of the Year in nine of her first 11 seasons at BU.

Liddick was named the LPGA National Coach of the Year in 2012-13 and again in 2013-14 becoming the only LPGA member coach to be awarded the honor two years in a row. She has also been awarded the LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year twice.

For the fifth year in a row, Liddick led the 2016-17 Bruins to the National Tournament and a 25th place finish at the PGA National Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Fla. BU claimed its sixth-straight Conference Tournament championship in 2016-17, winning the NSAA title running away. During the season, the Bruins won four team tournament championships.

Liddick has guided the Bruins to 44 team titles in her first 11 seasons at the helm of the BU women's golf program. The 2014 season marked BU's highest-ever finish at the NAIA National Tournament as Liddick guided the Bruins to a third-place showing. 

She has coached 12 NAIA All-Americans, seven Conference Golfers of the Year, and two MCAC Newcomers of the Year. Liddick has also coached 37 first-team all-conference golfers, three NAIA Academic All-Americans, and 12 WGCA All-American Scholar-Athletes.

A native of Lincoln, Neb. and Ottumwa, Iowa, Liddick played collegiately at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She also coached at her alma mater and was the head women’s golf coach at Wichita State University from 2003-04.

Liddick, a member of the LPGA since 1993, is a certified professional golf club fitter and has taught golf schools in Alabama, Arizona, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Hawaii, and California.

She has worked closely with several PGA and LPGA touring professionals and has participated in Golf 54 and Vision 54 training with Lynn Marriott and Pia Nielsen.

In addition to coaching collegiately at UAB and Wichita State, Liddick also coached Summit High School girls golf in Bend, Ore.

She has two daughters, Taylor and Mia.
