
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Facing challenging wind conditions, the 23rd-ranked Bellevue University women's golf team is currently tied for fourth place at the nine-team Kyle Blaser Invitational, being played at the 6,053-yard, par-72 Gaillardia Country Club.
The Bruins shot team scores of 57-over 345 and 45-over 333 and are tied with McLennan Community College at 102-over par.
Sixth-ranked Texas Wesleyan leads the field at 64-over par (323-317). Eighth-ranked Oklahoma City is seven strokes back at 71-over (327-320).
Daniela Espinoza of Redlands Community College leads the 57-player field at 10-over par with rounds of 74 and 80.
Chloe Blandinieres and Maria Pinedo were the top Bruin golfers on the day, as both are tied for 15th at 23-over par.
Blandinieres carded rounds of 84 and 83. She had two birdies and 13 pars on the day.
After an opening round of 85, Pinedo fired a 10-over 82 in the second round for the top BU round on the day. She had three birdies and 12 pars in the first day of competition.
Ilysia Ibnu is tied for 22nd place at 26-over par with rounds of 86 and 84. Ibnu recorded an eagle in the first round on the par 4, 275-yard second hole. She had two birdies in the second round.
Tilde-Li Andersson is in 27th place at 30-over par with rounds of 90 and 84. Andersson had one birdie and 14 pars in her two rounds.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac is tied for 36th place at 36-over par with rounds of 93 and 87. She recorded 11 pars on the opening day of the competition.
Megan Harty, who was competing as an individual, is tied for 47th place at 49-over par with rounds of 99 and 94. She had two birdies and four pars on the day.
Tuesday's final round of the 54-hole tournament will begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.
