
HENDERSON, Nev. -- The No. 24-ranked Bellevue University women's golf team finished in fourth place after Wednesday's final round at the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate, held at the 5.900-yard, par-72 Lake Las Vegas Golf Club.
The Bruins began the day in fourth and remained there, posting a team score of 328 (+30) to finish with a 54-hole total of 963.
No. 2-ranked University of British Columbia shot 316 on the day, the best team score, to finish off a 35-stroke victory over No. 19 Oregon Tech, 916-951. UBC Okanagan finished third with a score of 960, followed closely by Bellevue, and the University of Victoria rounded out the top five with a team score of 992.
Maria Pinedo registered a team-best three birdies on the day, finishing strong with a 7-over 79. For the tournament, she posted a seventh-place finish, shooting 16-over 232. Her birdies on Wednesday came on No. 5 (par 4, 387), No. 9 (par 5, 488), and No. 14 (par 5, 479).
Chloe Blandinieres, Ilysia Ibnu, and Aaricia Noel-Traissac each birdied a pair of holes on their way to matching 11-over scores of 83.
Ibnu punched in birdies on No. 2 (par 4, 312) and No. 15 (par 4, 336) en route to her 15th-place finish. She shot 241 for the tournament.
Blandinieres finished tied for 18th with a three-round total of 243. She made her birdies on the par-3 13th (126 yards) and par-4 15th (336 yards).
Noel-Traissac birdies No. 1 (par 4, 294) and No. 12 (par 5, 472) as she shot 251 for the tournament and finished in 26th place.
Tilde-Li Andersson made her lone birdie on the 305-yard, par four 11th on her way to a final round 88. She shot 252 for the tournament to finish in 27th place.
The Bruins next compete on Monday-Tuesday, Mar. 17-18 in the Kyle Blaser Invitational, which will be played at the Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.
