Bruins in fourth after opening day at RMC Intercollegiate

HENDERSON, Nev. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team opened the spring portion of the 2024-25 season at the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate, held at the 5,900-yard, par-72 Lake Las Vegas Golf Club. After two rounds, the Bruins sit in fourth place at 57-over par in the nine-team, 45-player field.

Bellevue posted team scores of 316 (+28) and 317 (+29) on Tuesday. The University of British Columbia leads the tournament at 24-over par (307-293).

Maria Pinedo leads the Bruins, shooting rounds of 77 (+5) and 76 (+4) to sit tied for sixth at 9-over par. Her first round featured four birdies and seven pars, while she carded two birdies and 10 pars in the second round.

Ilysia Ibnu is tied for 13th at 15-over (74-85). She opened with a 2-over 74, highlighted by three birdies and 10 pars, before recording an 85 in the second round.

Chloe Blandinieres is tied for 17th at 16-over (83-77), registering 20 pars and a birdie. Tilde-Li Andersson follows in 20th at 18-over (82-80), with 21 pars and one birdie through 36 holes.

Aaricia Noel-Traissac sits in a tie for 29th at 24-over (84-84), recording 18 pars and one birdie.

British Columbia's Grace Bell and UBC-Okanagan's Emily Cornwall share the individual lead at 2-over par.

The tournament concludes Wednesday with a 7:30 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.
