
HASTINGS, Neb. -- Freshman Tilde-Li Andersson took home the individual title, helping the Bellevue University women's golf team to a first-place finish at the seven-team Nebraska Intercollegiate Invitational played at the 5,927-yard, par-72 Lochland Country Club.
The Bruins, who shot team scores of 307 and 310 (+41), had four players finish in the top seven in the 35-player field. NCAA Division II schools Wayne State College (+52) and the University of Nebraska-Kearney (+64) finished in second and third, respectively.
Andersson and WSC's Camryn Johnson shot the day's best rounds with 2-over par 74s. Andersson's round consisted of one birdie, three bogeys, and 14 pars. She finished 6-over par for the tournament after posting a 4-over 76 in Friday's opening round.
Opening round leader Chloe Blandinieres finished second after carding a 6-over 78 on Saturday, finishing at 8-over for the tournament. Two birdies and 10 pars highlighted Blandinieres's second round.
Maria Pinedo moved up five spots into a tie for fifth place after shooting a 4-over 76, putting her at 13-over for the tournament. She had 14 pars and four bogeys in the second round.
Ilysia Ibnu placed seventh at 14-over par with rounds of 76 and 82.
Rounding out the day for the Bruins was Aaricia Noel-Traissac who shot a 13-over 84, finishing the tournament at 21-over par and in a tie for 17th place.
The Bruins return to action on Oct. 14-15 when they travel to Silvis, Ill., to compete in the TPC Deere Run Invitational.
