BISMARCK, N.D. – For the second straight week and the third time this season, senior Maria Pinedo has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for her performance in last week's OUAZ Fall Invitational in Surprise, Ariz.
Pinedo captured the individual title played at the 5,840-yard, par-72 Sterling Grove Golf Club. She recorded three rounds at or below par, posting scores of 72-71-72.
The Bruins finished one stroke out of the lead in a field that consisted of three ranked teams in the nation's top 25.
It marked her second-straight title, and she has now recorded five consecutive rounds at or below par.
Pinedo registered 10 birdies, an eagle, and 33 pars in the 54-hole tournament.
Bellevue next competes at Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Neb., for the Nebraska Intercollegiate on Friday-Saturday, Oct 4-5.
