SILVIS, Ill. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women's Golf Scholar-Athletes from 124 schools with 400 total student-athletes selected for their academic achievements.

Bellevue's Maria Pinedo (Neiva, Colombia) and Aaricia Noel-Traissac (Ablon-sur-Seine, France) were both named to the prestigious team today. Pinedo is a junior majoring in Business Administration. Noel-Traissac is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration. 

The University of Pikeville (Ky.) has the most in the nation with 10 recipients; followed by Grand View (Iowa) and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) with eight each. Briar Cliff (Iowa), Mount Mercy (Iowa), and SCAD Savannah (Ga.) have recognized seven student-athletes per team. 

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.

The Bruins won the 2024 North Star Athletic Association Tournament and will compete in the NAIA National Championship on May 14-17 at the TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
