ONALASKA, Wis. -- Four Bruin golfers find themselves in the top five and the Bellevue University women's golf team holds a 29-stroke lead after one round of play at the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship being at The Club at Cedar Creek.

Waldorf University's Isabelle Heintzelman is the clubhouse leader after a 7-over first round 78. Hot on her heels are BU's Chloe Blandinieres (+8) and Maria Pinedo (+9) who shot 79 and 80, respectively.

Ilysia Ibnu and Aaricia Noel-Traissac are tied for fourth following matching 10-over rounds with scores of 81. Viterbo's Caylee Beyer joins them in fourth place with a 10-over 81 of her own.

Blandinieres and Noel-Traissac each birdied a pair of holes. Blandinieres birdied the par five No. 2 and par four No. 9. Noel-Traissac birdied a pair of par threes, doing so on No. 7 and No. 14. Ibnu accounted for the final birdie of the day, notching hers on the par four No. 4.

Megan Harty rounds out the Bruin lineup in 12th place. She shot a 16-over 87 for the day, highlighted by a run of four-straight pars from No. 2-6.

Bellevue shot 321 (+37) as a team and the Bruins are comfortably in first place. Dickinson State (350) is one stroke ahead of both Viterbo (351) and Waldorf (351) for second with Valley City (372) some distance back in fifth and Mayville State (479) languishing in last.

Tomorrow's second round begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
