
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team finished in eighth place at the 36-hole, 10-team The Trailblazer being played at the 5,959-yard, par-72 TPC Summerlin Course. The Bruins improved on their opening-round team score by 29 strokes, finishing the day at 45-over par for a 36-hole score of 695 (362-333).
Oklahoma City University ran away with the team title by 24 strokes over second-place Embry-Riddle University (Ariz.). The Stars shot a 16-over team score of 304 and finished the tournament at 39-over par.
Ilysia Ibnu was the Bruins' top golfer in the tournament, finishing in 24th place in the 56-player field. She shot a 9-over par 81, finishing the tournament at 25-over par. A birdie and nine pars sparked her round.
Maria Pinedo shot a 15-over 87, finishing the tournament at 32-over par and in a tie for 29th place. Pinedo's round was highlighted with eight pars.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac matched Pinedo's overall score, finishing the tournament at 32-over par after shooting a 14-over par 86 in the second round. She had one birdie and six pars on the day.
Chloe Blandinieres carded a 9-over 81 in the second round, finishing the tournament in a tie for 33rd place at 33-over par. She had one birdie and eight pars in the second round.
Megan Harty rounded out the Bruins' scoring on the day, carding a 15-over 87 to finish in a tie for 38th place overall. Harty recorded one birdie and five pars in Tuesday's round.
OCU's Maddi Kamas claimed the individual title by five strokes over Embry-Riddle's Hailey Stevenson. Kamas shot an even-par 72 and finished the tournament at 3-over par.
The Bruins return to action on March 11-12, when they travel to Lubbock, Texas, to compete in The Top of Texas Invitational.
