
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team opened the spring season at The Trailblazer, a 10-team tournament being played at the 5,898-yard, par-72 Paiute Golf Course. The Bruins currently sit in eighth place after shooting a team score of 74-over par (362).
Oklahoma City University holds a commanding 18-shot lead over second-place University of British Columbia-Okanagan. The Stars finished with a team score of 23-over par (311).
Ilysia Ibnu was the Bruins' top golfer on the day, finishing with a 16-over par score of 88. She is in a tie for 24th place in the 56-player field. Ibnu had one birdie and five pars in the first round.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac fired an 18-over 90. She is currently tied for 31st place. Her round was highlighted with five pars.
Maria Pinedo shot a 19-over 91 and is tied for 34th place. She had five pars in Monday's round.
Megan Harty carded a 21-over 93. She had one birdie and five pars in the opening round and is tied for 41st place.
Chloe Blandinieres rounded out the Bruins' scoring with a 24-over par 96.
OCU's Maddi Kamas is the individual leader at 3-over par.
Tomorrow's final round will begin with an 8 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.
