
SILVIS, Ill. -- Senior Tylah Saifoloi moved up 11 spots after shooting her best round of the tournament, finishing in a tie for 23rd place at the 2023 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship. The four-day, 72-hole tournament was played at the 5,813-yard, par-71 TPC at Deere Run.
Saifoloi shot a four-over par 75 and finished the tournament at 27-over par with rounds of 76, 76, 84, and 75 (311). Her round was highlighted by a birdie on the par-4, 318-yard 11th hole. She also had 12 pars, including eight straight to end the tournament.
The University of British Columbia ran away with the team title, winning by 29 strokes over second place Keiser University. UBC finished the tournament at 63-over par after posting a team score of 12-over par 296 on Friday.
Oklahoma City University's MaKayla Tyrrell won the individual title after posting a 1-over 72 and finishing at 10-over par for the tournament. Catherine Batang of Menlo University and Hannah Ulibarri of The Master's University both finished in second place, three strokes back at 13-over par.
