
LE MARS, Iowa -- Sophomore Maria Pinedo carded an even-par 72 to lead the Bellevue University women's golf team in the third and final round of play at the Northwest Iowa National Invite being played at the 5,924-yard, par-72 Willow Creek Golf Club.
All three Bruin golfers finished in the top 25 in the 50-player field that featured nine teams.
Keiser captured the team title, finishing at 16-over par for the tournament, 11 strokes ahead of second-place Ottawa (Ariz.).
Texas Wesleyan's Malisone Chanthapanya won the individual title, finishing the 54 holes at 3-under par with rounds of 69-71-73.
Pinedo earned an 11th place showing overall, finishing the tournament at 6-over par after rounds of 75-75-72. Her third round was highlighted by an eagle on the 488-yard par-5 third hole. She also added a pair of birdies on the day.
Megan Harty moved up seven spots to finish in a tie for 22nd place after shooting a 3-over 75 in the third round, finishing the tournament at 19-over par. Her round was highlighted by a pair of birdies and 12 pars.
Tylah Saifoloi tied for 24th place after carding a 6-over 78. She had 12 pars in her third round and finished the tournament at 20-over par.
The Bruins will return to action on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 when they travel to Norfolk, Neb., to compete in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Classic at the Norfolk Country Club.
