Temple finishes in seventh at Lila Frommelt Fall Classic

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. -- Senior Allison Temple was the top Bellevue University golfer on Saturday, finishing seventh overall in the season-opening Lila Frommelt Fall Classic being played at the par-71, 5,942-yard Two Rivers Golf Course. 

Temple fired a 3-over 74 in Saturday's second round and finished the tournament at 11-over par. 

The Bruins, who did not field a team score, saw all three golfers improve from Friday's opening round. 

Temple's round was highlighted by a pair of birdies and 11 pars. 

Freshman Megan Harty finished in a tie for 21st in the 69-player field after posting a 12-over score of 83. She finished 27-over par for the tournament.

Junior Tylah Saifoloi placed 26th overall at 30-over par. She improved her first-round score by four strokes, posting a 13-over 84 on Saturday. 

Iowa Western CC captured the team title by 10 strokes over Morningside, finishing at 28-over par as a team. IWCC's Luisa Gibson was the individual medalist at 2-over par. She notched an even-par round of 71 on the day.  

The Bruins will travel to LeMars, Iowa on Sept. 20-21 to compete in the Northwest Iowa Intercollegiate at the Willow Creek Golf Course.
