Temple takes individual honors at Midland Invitational

Results

FREMONT, Neb. -- Senior Allison Temple captured the individual title Monday at the Midland University Invitational, carding a 4-over 76, at the 5,845-yard, par-72 Fremont Country Club. 

Temple, who won the tournament by two strokes over Doane's Tressa Bull and Iowa Western's Seira Kubo, led the field with four birdies on the day. She also finished with eight pars. 

The Bruins, who did not field a team score, were also led by Tylah Saifoloi's sixth-place showing and Shanice DeGee's seventh-place finish in the 35-player field. Saifoloi finished at 12-over par with an 18-hole score of 84. She had eight pars and one birdie on the day. DeGee was right behind her with a 14-over 86, finishing with six pars.  

Iowa Western CC ran away with the team title with a team score of 343 in the five-team field. 

The Bruins will travel to Dakota Dunes, S.D., next Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 19-20, to compete in the Lila Frommelt Invite being played at the Two Rivers Golf Course.
