BU finishes 26th at NAIA National Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team finished in 26th place after two rounds of play, missing the cut at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship being played at the 6,050-yard, par-72 Lincoln Park Golf Club (West Course). 

The top 17 teams made the cut and will advance to Thursday's third round. The Bruins end their season after advancing to the NAIA National Championship for the sixth time in school history. 

British Columbia leads the field with a two-round score of 14-over par 590 (294-296). Keiser is three strokes back at 17-over 593 (297-296). SCAD-Savannah is six strokes off the pace at 20-over par.  

The Bruins finished at 71-over par with rounds of 327 and 320. 

Allison Temple shot BU's top round on the day with a 6-over 78, finishing the tournament at 16-over with a 36-hole total of 160. Temple finished the tournament, going just 1-over on the final 10 holes. 

Madison Brooks posted the top BU total of the event, finishing at 14-over par with rounds of 78 and 80. Brooks recorded three birdies on the day. 

Kim Moore improved her opening round score by six strokes, finishing the tournament at 20-over par with a 164 (85-79) total. Moore's round was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the 13th and 14th holes. 

Morgan Hazzard finished right behind Moore at 165 (82-83). Hazzard was just one-over par on the back nine. 

Bri Stagge closed her BU career with a round of 90 to go with Tuesday's total of 88. 

Keiser's Michela Tjan and William Woods' Maria Zrodowska lead the individual leaderboard at 1-under par.
