OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Led by sophomore Allison Temple, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in 12th place in the 19-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic being played at the 5,900-yard, par-72 Lincoln Park Golf Club.
Host Oklahoma City University leads the field after shooting a team score of 7-over par 295. Texas Wesleyan is seven strokes back at 302. The Bruins recorded a team total of 332, paced by Temple's 7-over 79. Temple is currently tied for 32nd in the 108-player field.
Kim Moore carded an opening round of 8-over 80, putting her in a tie for 37th place.
Bri Stagge and Madison Brooks both finished with 10-over 82's on the day, good for a tie for 53rd place.
Murray State's Brooke Irion leads the individual field at 1-under par. William Penn's Elisa Warne is one stroke back at even par.
Tuesday's final round will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
