Liddick signs Aussie Tylah Saifoloi for 2019-20

Bruin head women's golf coach Shelly Liddick announced today the signing of Australian Tylah Saifoloi (Penrith, New South Wales, Australia/Nepean CAPA HS) to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue University beginning in the fall of 2019.

Saifoloi, a native of Penrith, which is 45 minutes outside of Sydney, had a standout junior career. She won numerous junior championships, including the St. Michael's Foursome, the Cronulla Masters, as well as the 2018 Sydney West stroke-play and match-play championships after finishing as runner-up in those two events in 2017.

A versatile athlete, Saifoloi also competes in tennis, volleyball, swimming, and soccer.

For her efforts, Saifoloi was named the Junior Sportswoman of the Year at Nepean Capa High School.

"Tylah is a born leader," said Liddick. "She has been a camp leader and mentor to younger students and embraces the adventure of taking on new challenges and setting and achieving goals to realize her full potential.  Her dedication to academics has made her an excellent student who is interested in studying Health and Human Performance at Bellevue University. We are extremely excited to have Tylah join the Bruin Golf family and continue the tradition of 'Champions In Pursuit of Excellence.'"

Saifoloi becomes the first signee in the 2019-20 recruiting class.

The Bruins will open the spring portion of the 2018-19 season when they host the Bellevue University Spring Break Classic at the Olmos Basin Golf Course in San Antonio, Texas on March 8-9.
