Peve lands NSAA Golfer of the Week Award

MADISON, S.D. -- For the 11th time in her collegiate career Bellevue University junior Faustina Peve has been named the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

This past week Peve helped the Bruins to a 10th place finish at the highly competitive NAIA Championship Fall Preview at the 6,050-yard, Par 72 Lincoln Park Golf Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Peve carded a BU-tournament low 75 (+3) in the second round for a two-day total of 156 (+12) to finish in a tie for 30th place in a tournament that featured eight teams ranked in the most recent NAIA Coaches' Poll. She was a model of consistency when, over the course of 36 holes, she recorded a pair of birdies, 21 pars, and 12 bogeys at the challenging course.

On the season Peve is averaging an 80.2 per round, including her season-low of 75 that she posted in the second round of the NAIA Fall Preview. Additionally, she's recorded top 10 finishes in half of BU's six events this season. Twice (Ottawa Fall Invitational, BU Fall Invitational) she finished in the top five.

Bellevue has concluded play in the fall portion of their schedule and will compete again in the spring of 2019.
