
WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Bellevue University women's golf team remained in third place after the third round of the North Star Athletic Association Tournament being played at the par-72, 5,822 yard Prairie Links Golf Course and Events Center Monday.
The tournament is a continuation of the first two rounds of the NSAA Tournament which were played on Sept. 25-26 in Medora, N.D.
The Bruins, who trailed first-place University of Jamestown by 12 strokes entering Monday's third round, are now 31 strokes out of the lead entering Tuesday's final round after shooting a team score of 333 on the day. Bellevue has a team score of 1,017 after 54 holes (350-334-333).
BU is two strokes behind second-place Viterbo University, which shot a team score of 339 on Monday. Jamestown fired the best team score of the day with a 314 for a 986 three-round total (337-335-314).
Kim Moore and Bri Stagge both carded 10-over 82's on Monday. Moore is in seventh place at 254 (87-85-82) on the individual leaderboard. Stagge did not compete in the first two rounds of the tournament.
Faustina Peve recorded a 12-over-par 84 and is currently in fourth place in the 26-player field at 31-over par (247).
Madison Brooks is in 10th place after registering an 85 on Monday for a 259 three-day total (90-84-85).
Allison Temple shot an 18-over-par 90. She is currently in 18th place in the individual standings at 281 (94-97-90).
Jamestown's Annie Nelson leads the tournament field at 10-over par with rounds of 71, 78, and 77.
Tuesday's final round will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament.
