Peve earns another NSAA Golfer of the Week honor

MADISON, S.D. -- For the second-straight week and the eighth time this season, sophomore Faustina Peve (Buenos Aires, Argentina) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Golfer of the Week for her performance last week in the Concordia (Neb.) Spring Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. 

Peve helped guide the Bruins to their first team title of the season at the 11-team Concordia (Neb.) Spring Invitational, held at the 5,800-yard, par-72 Highlands Golf Course. She finished second in the 73-player field at 8-over par. Peve shot 78 (6-over-par) in the first round and fired a 74 (2-over-par) in the second round (152 total strokes in the two-day, 36-hole tournament).  

She currently leads the Bruins with a 77.57 stroke average per round. Peve has recorded six top-5 finishes this season. 

The Bruins will compete in the final two rounds of the North Star Athletic Association Tournament on April 30-May 1 in Waverly, Iowa at the Prairie Links Golf Course. BU is currently in third place, 12 strokes out of the lead after the first two rounds which were played on Sept. 25-26 in Medora, N.D.
