MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University sophomore Faustina Peve (Buenos Aires, Argentina) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the NSAA Office.
Peve tied for 14th in the BU Spring Break Classic at the par-71 Brackenridge Park Country Club in San Antonio, Texas last week for Bellevue (Neb.). She carded an 80 in the first round and followed up with an improved 74 in the second round for a two-round score of 154. The team finished eighth in the tournament.
Peve shot an opening-round score of 6-over-par 78 Monday and is currently in a tie for fourth place in Hillcat Classic (hosted by Rogers State in Owasso, Okla.). Play at the Hillcat Classic concludes today. The Bruins are currently tied for fifth in the tournament.
