Peve guides Bruins to 8th place finish at BU Spring Break Classic

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Sophomore Faustina Peve shot a 3-over-par 74 on Saturday to lead the Bellevue University women's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the BU Spring Break Classic being played at the Brackenridge Park Golf Course. 

The Bruins finished with a team score of 654 (331-323). Dalton State won the team title after firing an 8-over 292 in Saturday's second round. The Roadrunners finished with a 594 (302-292) 36-hole total. Texas Wesleyan was second with a 606 (301-305) total.

Peve finished in a tie for 14th place in the 59-player field with a 12-over-par two-day total of 154 (80-74). 

Dalton State's Tia Teiniketo was the individual medalist with a 4-over-par 146 (76-70) total.
