OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Propelled by a strong second round, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently tied for sixth place heading into the third and final round of the 11-team Oklahoma City University Spring Classic being played at the par-72, 5,950-yard Lincoln Park East Golf Course. 

The Bruins shot the second-best team score in the second round at 10-over-par 298. Combined with Monday's first round score of 330, BU improved three spots in the team standings with a team total of 628 (330-298). 

Host Oklahoma City University leads the tournament with a 594 (298-296) team total. The Stars have a 27-stroke lead over second place squads Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern Christian University. 

Iowa Western's Sena Ersoy leads the 72-player field at even par after firing rounds of 71 and 73. IWCC is tied with the Bruins for sixth place in the team standings.

Faustina Peve, who recorded seven birdies on the day, is tied for seventh at 7-over par after shooting rounds of 79 and even-par 72. Ivane Helias is tied for 10th at 8-over par with rounds of 81 and 1-under 71. Helias also carded seven birdies on the day. 

Wendy Monfort is tied for 26th with a 166 (86-80) total. Morgan Hazzard is tied for 50th after shooting rounds of 90 and a career-low 77 on the day. 

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
