Women's Golf signs Temple as first 2017/18 recruit

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Bellevue University women's golf coach Shelly Liddick announced today the signing of Allison Temple to a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic careers at Bellevue University beginning in the fall of 2017.

Temple, a native of Norfolk, Neb., will graduate Norfolk High School this spring before joining the Bruins for the 2017/18 season.

  • Named All-Super State by Nebraska Coaches Association
  • Fifth place finish at Class A Girls Golf State Championship
  • Academic All-Conference
  • Finished in top 10 in nine of 10 tournaments in the fall – with two runner-up finishes
  • Career low round – 77
  • Top Junior Golfer in the State
  • Also a member of the varsity soccer and basketball teams

Head Coach Shelly Liddick on Temple:

"Our women's golf program just got better! We are extremely excited to have signed outstanding Class A golfer Allison Temple. She is very passionate about the game of golf and her work ethic is unparalleled. Allison strives to be a better athlete every day and she is a natural leader by example. Allison will be a top player for the Bruins and we anticipate her having a highly successful four years at Bellevue University."

The Bruins won two of four tournaments in the fall and lead the NSAA Championships by 25 strokes after two rounds with the final two rounds slated to be completed in April.
